Marilee Manessy
Chief Instructor and Head of Exercise Physiology

Marilee Manessy is the Chief Instructor and Head of our Fitness Testing, Personal Training and Injury Rehabilitation area. Marilee is a Kinesiology Major from York University who also studied one year of Massage Therapy and studied two years of Pilates Instructional Techniques. During her career, Marilee has been a CPR and First Aid instructor, a swim instructor, a nutritional counsellor, has over 25 years experience in Personal Training and Fitness Assessment and currently also teaches all of the Pilates classes we offer. Now supported by an Occupational Physiotherapy Assistant, her experience, combined with the superior equipment and therapeutic pools we have on site, allows us to take over accident or post surgical rehabilitation when physiotherapy has ended and has been unsuccessful in completing the rehabilitation.

Dr. George, DC
Chiropractor

Dr. George has been involved in health care industry for more than 20 years. Before immigrating to Canada, he had been working as medical laboratory technologist with special education in Hematology (study of blood) in Switzerland. In December 2003 he graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College of Los Angeles, and received his doctor of chiropractic (DC) degree. After returning to Canada, he settled in Windsor, Ontario (Canadian side of Detroit River) and began to work as Associate and Clinic Director in Detroit, Michigan. In 2005 he got a part-time faculty position at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College teaching Systems Pathology courses to third year students. Since 2006 Dr. George is working as a pain management consultant in multidisciplinary physical rehabilitation and pain management clinics in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Dr. George is fluent in English, Armenian, Persian (Farsi), and German.

Jayom Upadhyaya, H.D.
Clinic Director/Doctor of Homeopathy

Jayom Upadhyaya has been involved in health care for over 14 years; starting his career as a Homeopathic Physician in private clinic and continuing as a Homeopathy Medical Officer in Government Dispensaries and in charitable institutions. He has done extensive work in Paediatric hospital, particularly with kids having different kind of skin allergies and respiratory problems. He is very experienced in the treatment of different types of body pain, chronic skin diseases, and psychological issues. He moved to Canada in 2005 and since than he is an active member of the “Homeopathic Medical Council of Canada”. Jayom has a vast experience of managing different health care facilities and dealing with different type of patients. He has been involved working with Paediatric hospital, Homeopathic drug store and clinic, Physiotherapy and multidisciplinary clinic and now with his new venture of starting Fitness Plus Physio & Rehab Inc.

Ian Louw, RMT
Massage Therapist

Ian Louw has actively been involved in sports his entire life.  Through the endurance of much pain and injury he found that one of the best methods of healing and recovery was massage therapy. This inspired Ian to obtain his credentials as a massage therapist and upon receiving his diploma was awarded the prestigious "award of excellence" and was even asked to appear in a TV commercial about massage therapy.  Ian has now been practicing for several years.  His idea is simple, to pass along his knowledge to all of his clients in order to provide them with the best possible massage therapy experience.  Ian's goal is to continuously educate and inform his clients in order for them to obtain optimal health and well being.

Jennifer Best-Deane
Occupational Physiotherapy Assistant

Jennifer Best-Deane is a Certified Occupational Physiotherapy Assistant whose background and training are perfectly suited to assist post physiotherapy and post surgical clients complete their rehabilitation. Jennifer studied biology, chemistry and physiology at the University of Windsor and also obtained a Diploma in Occupational and Physiotherapy Assistant from Humber College. Her experience includes Energy Conservation Techniques for cardiac clients, performing Hot pack and Ultrasound modalities, splint preparation, correct knee mobility, body mechanics and hydrotherapy.

Todd Jackson

Certified Personal Trainer

Todd participates in a grueling Martial Arts program for his own fitness and then brings some of that energy into his Boot Camp and Kickbox classes.

He is  dedicated to getting and keeping his clients fit.
